Pour in Pads
What are they?

Pour-in pads are a type of supportive hoof pad made from a liquid or gel material that is poured directly into the bottom of the hoof, usually after the horseshoe is nailed on. The material hardens or cures in place, forming a custom-fit cushion.

How do they help?

-
Sole protection: Shields thin or sensitive soles from bruising.
-
Shock absorption: Reduces concussion, especially on hard or rocky terrain.
-
Support: Can be used to provide frog and heel support or to fill voids in the hoof.
-
Therapeutic use: Helps manage hoof conditions like laminitis, navicular syndrome, or contracted heels.

Pour-in pads are especially useful for horses with:
-
Tender feet
-
Sole injuries or bruising
-
Thin soles from excessive wear or genetics
-
Hard-working or performance horses needing extra support
They can be used with or without a pad cover (leather or plastic) and come in varying firmness levels depending on the horse’s needs.
